CTC Wins Grant for Community Health Teams and SBIRT Screening
After piloting a successful Community Health Teams initiative for more than three years, CTC was well-positioned to apply for a unique grant opportunity with the State to expand the work of Community Health Teams and Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral and Treatment (SBIRT) screening for substance use disorders and mental health disorders in Rhode Island.
CTC Presents at the Executive Office of Health and Human Services: Healthcare Workforce Transformation Summit
On June 16, 2017, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) hosted a Healthcare Transformation Summit at the Crowne Plaza Hotel with a focus on preparing the workforce for a healthy Rhode Island.
PCMH-Kids: Maternal Depression Screening Learning Collaborative Updates
On June 8, 2017, the seven PCMH-Kids practices that are participating in the Postpartum Maternal Depression Screening learning collaborative convened for their first quarterly meeting as part of the pediatric integrated behavioral health project.
CTC-RI Hosts Mental Health First Aid Training for the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) and Community Health Team (CHT) Programs

June CTC-RI Clinical Practice Champion Learning Session
On June 9, 2017, CTC-RI hosted its quarterly Breakfast of Champions learning opportunity with a focus on practice innovation and building the medical neighborhood. The three presentations discussed a statewide collaborative of emergency physicians using Choosing Wisely as the backbone for a campaign to reduce inappropriate imaging for low back pain with the aim of partnering with primary care
